Browsers nowadays have a lot of built-in security features to help make the web more secure by default. Although this is a great thing, unfortunately, sometimes browser vendors implement these features slightly different than others. And sometimes, the implementations also differ from browser version to browser version.

It is important to understand these differences when developing web applications, to avoid security gaps or to save development effort in places where it is no longer necessary. These subtle details cannot be looked up, we have to try it out, and if possible, for all popular browsers.
